Thea Thomas, a Haudenosaunee Kanien’kehá:ka artist from Kahnawake Mohawk Territory, shapes her artistic practice with a foundation of craftsmanship. Navigating the intersections of time-honoured tradition and innovation, Thea is able to bridge the past with the present. Based out of Treaty 7 Territory since 2018, she finds comfort in the exploration of traditional Haudenosaunee craft as a means to remain rooted in her culture and community. Through her design work, Thea blends the realms of traditional and non-traditional methods of creating to powerfully reflect the intersection of Indigenous culture and the modern world.

Each piece embodies the quiet strength and resilience of Indigenous women, channeling matriarchal energy. Merging timeless cultural symbolism with contemporary streetwear aesthetics, the collection creates a visual narrative that echoes ancestral power.
